At SafeBridge we believe in giving back. It’s not just something we talk about, it’s something we actively do as a team to help and support a few key charities. From day one our firm has believed that giving back is at the core of who we are and what we do. As a Canadian based firm who has served the financial needs of our clients for over 20 years, it is easy to see how fortunate some of us are while better understanding some of the challenges that many people face on a day to day basis. This awareness compels us to do something with the resources we have been given to bless and serve those who need it the most. Our partnerships with The Veritas Foundation has allowed us to officially launch the SafeBridge Charitable Fund in support of families in need through Make-A-Wish Canada and Homes4Hope Canada.
The Veritas Foundation is a private foundation that is federally incorporated in Canada, a public benefit, not-for-profit organization. We are committed to making sustainable improvements to the Charitable sector through our innovative research and granting programs. In addition, we offer individuals, families, groups and corporations to establish their own Donor Advised Fund in the Veritas Foundation Giving Fund.
In 2020, SafeBridge partnered with The Veritas Foundation as a way to use funds from the SafeBridge Charitable Fund and give them to our partner charities.
Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We are on a quest to bring every eligible child’s wish to life, because a wish is an integral part of a child’s treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Make-A-Wish is the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organization, serving children in every community in Canada, and in more than 50 countries worldwide.
Since 1983, Make-A-Wish Canada has granted over 36,000 wishes across the country, over 1,000 last year alone. Since 2014 SafeBridge has been a proud supporter of the Make-a-Wish Canada Foundation. Each year SafeBridge has a special Make-a-Wish child attend their annual Christmas party to share a story about their “wish.” It is always incredible to witness a young child whose life has been impacted by illness share their story of hope and joy with the SafeBridge team. In 2020 SafeBridge helped sponsor 6 year old Bria who suffers from a rare genetic disease have her wish of BLANK granted.

Since its inception in 2012, SafeBridge has partnered with Homes4Hope to help build homes for families with children who have special needs. Co-CEO Chris Karram has personally been on all 6 build trips to Africa helping to build homes in Ethiopia, Malawi and South Africa.
For those living with a disability in world’s poorest countries, many are ostracized from their community and living in homes made of mud walls and thatch roofs that are unstable and unsafe. Providing these families with a safe home of their own is a cornerstone for regaining dignity and hope in life for themselves and their children.The partnership between Homes4Hope, Hope and Healing & Habitat for Humanity provides a unique and effective infrastructure to maximize each dollar provided by donors for the benefit of those families in need
We believe that collaboration among NGOs working in the same communities will lead to the most effective care and delivery of support. We can connect some of the world’s most fortunate and blessed with each other to help fund the building of these homes. We believe in a model where small groups of individuals can work together to become deeply connected to a meaningful cause and give generously to change the lives of the world’s most vulnerable.
