Jorge M. Simoes

Since 2005, Jorge M. Simoes has specialized in advising and implementing financial and estate planning solutions for business owners and affluent Canadians. His background in engineering helped lay down the foundation to analyze situations and scenarios given his unique knowledge of the Income Tax Act and the Canadian legal system.
Jorge holds Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Executive Advisor (CEA), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) designations, and continues to expand his value-added service by working with accountants, lawyers, private bankers and valuators. As a member of Advocis, Jorge strives to bring more professionalism and credibility to the industry. He is also a graduate of Seneca College civil engineering technologist program.
In 2005 Jorge joined London Life, working as a financial security advisor. He spent the next five years working in the family market to provide risk and wealth management solutions. He also worked with small and large businesses to implement employee benefits and corporate planning strategies.
In 2010 he joined one of Canada’s largest Managing General Agencies. There he held different positions and titles, providing financial planning solutions to advisors and clients alike. His primary focus as part of the ACES Group (Advanced Case & Estate Solutions) was the high net worth market providing corporate and estate planning solutions in the role of Advanced Case Specialist for the Ontario Region.
After nine years of service at this firm, Jorge decided to open his own consulting company, JMS Risk Management. After five successful years on his own, an opportunity represented itself.
In August of 2024 Jorge decided to join SafeBridge Private Wealth Management to continue to provide business development, tax, corporate and estate expertise for advisors, professionals, business owners and affluent clients.
